The biggest help would be to label the BS threads as BS. BS includes any category not related to music. This will help those who don't wish to be bothered with the chitchat to easily filter out threads that are just pure conversation.

You can label a thread "BS-FT Bagels" or whatever, but the important prefix is BS as there is already a way to filter the BS prefixed threads out if the music only folks are inclined to use it.
