He was a wonderful actor -absolutely amazing as a prisoner of war in the series 'Colditz'. I best remember him however for a truly delightful play many years ago called 'Mr Axelford's Angel' with Julia Foster. He played a grumpy businessman who eventually falls for his young secretary. It was wonderfully acted piece which could have been hammy but was not.
