No matter what the place, each of our experiences of a thing is largely up to us as individuals. There is bad everywhere, but there is good to be found everywhere too. The happy people are not the lucky ones, they're the ones who *decided* to be happy regardless of the circumstances.I love the digitrad! I have harvested I don't know *how* many lyrics from this place. I will also add that there is no better place to ask a question about music, unless you have access to the Library of Congress, and a degree in research.
I love the laughter on many of the recent threads. There is nothing like opening up a thread and howling madly until all the pressures of the day just melt away.
I love the idea that people here are supporting this place by planning calendars and CD's. That's old homegrown community from my POV, and what a hell of a worthy cause...keeping the one of the oldest traditions alive in this day of immediate knowledge through the web.
I love what I have learned here. And I learn something new each and every time I log on.
I love hearing about others successes...when a new CD is released, when someone gets a gig, when someone learns a new instrument. It makes me feel all the more like it's not too late for me to grow beyond where I am musically as well.
I love hearing about 'Catters trips. When someone will be in town, and I might actually get a chance to hear the music that is behind the posts.
And much, much more.
