I just wanted to alert everyone to a new official expression which is coming into common usage: We Have Shatnerization!!!

This expression is to be used whenever something unutterably stupid, vapid, pointless, silly, banal, tasteless, tacky, valueless or downright grotesque has occurred or has been said or done by someone...

It could be something political, it could be a piece of music, it could be a post on the Mudcat, it could be Spaw's latest revelation concerning the state of his underwear...it could be almost anything.

If it qualifies, then simply say: We Have Shatnerization!!!

This will save you from wearing your fingers out typing long, long rebuttals, analyses, and diatribes that just repeat stuff you've already said before anyway.

The expression "We Have Shatnerization" evolved at the WSSBA, where it is proudly proclaimed as graduates march up to the podium and are handed their diplomas. It's a very moving thing to witness. Many are called, but few are chosen.
