Thread Name: When is the 'new' Mudcat coming?
Subject: RE: When is the 'new' Mudcat coming?
When my sons were little, they'd beg me to do things with them, or for them. As a young Father, I'd say... "all right, we'll do it on Saturday"... go see Star Wars or Ghost Busters. Then sure enough, Saturday morning I couldn't get my car running and we were way too far to walk to the movie theater. When I'd tell them we couldn't go they'd whine in harmony, "But Dad, You promised!" This thread makes me very nostalgic. I haven't heard little voices whining, "but you promised!" in a long time. Now that my oldest son is a young father, he has learned the wisdom that I passed down to him. I learned to say, "We'll see.." My sons used to get really irritated with me, and they'd say, "What does that mean?" And I'd answer, just what it says, "We'll see?"

I ask you, Guests..."why is it so important to you to criticize Max for not being able to pull this off as fast as he thought he could?" There is so much to enjoy AS IS. What's your hurry? Are you sincerely anxious for this to happen? Whatever it might be? It's hard for me to believe that.

My encouragement to Max(I have no idea who he is, but I am indebted to him for Mudcat) and Joe is, learn to say "We'll see..." I suspect that if you were going on a trip with these guests in your car, they'd be asking, "Are we there yet?", before you pulled out of the driveway. I don't find comments like some of those by "Guests" irritating. I find them very juvenile.. and extremely ungracious..

Two big Huzzahs for Man and Joe (who I wouldn't know if I passed on the street.)
