Thread Name: Songbook Indexing: Hispanic-American
Subject: Songbook Indexing: Hispanic-American
This is an edited permaThread®, intended to provide index information for songbooks containing Hispanic-American songs from the southwestern and southeastern United States (California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and Florida) and the border region with Mexico. This thread will be edited by Joe Offer and Q. Feel free to post to this thread, but remember that all messages posted here are subject to editing or deletion. In most cases, the person who posted the index owns or has access to a copy of the book in question. If there is a song listed here that you'd like to have lyrics or melody for, post a request below. We'll move your request to a new thread and give you an answer. Joe Offer-
There are a few songbooks that fit under multiple categories, like the Silver Burdett Canciones book and the Favorite Spanish Folksongs book from Oak Publications. For now, I'm posting them in multiple threads, if I think that people would be likely to look in more than one thread for them.
I moved a couple indexes from the 19th century thread because I didn't think people would look for them there. The thread title says Hispanic-American, but we've included books that have songs of Spain.
