Thread Name: Thankyou Max
Subject: RE: Thankyou Max
Max,

Thanks!! I came to the Mudcat to find out the gauges of Lead Belly's guitar strings. And I did get that information. But I began reading threads and just have a wonderful time.

I found I have a large amount of information that other people can use. I also have a source that can answer almost any question I might have about folk music and the blues.

Just this weekend, I performed the Old Dun Cow and The Key of R to wondrous audience response. I did the Key of R acapella (Latin for "I haven't learned the chords"). I suspect they are keepers. I have you and the Mudcat to thank for those songs, of which I had never heard until I scanned the 'Cat.

I have also joined multiple discussions to share my opinions about various issues and I have enjoyed others postings and opinions as well.

I have been on for a year and truly cannot get enough Mudcat. I believe I have posted elsewhere's that I forgive Max, but I also want to say I'm sorry if I 'caused Max any distress with my complaint.

I remain in awe of Max's, Susan's, and Dick's work (along with Max's minions as well). Thank you, thank you, thank you! I try to make my thank you's tangible as well. I have ordered numerous CD's and books through the Support the Mudcat links and I've sent in my money for the next month or so. I say this not to brag or to be self-important, but simply to serve as a model for others who may enjoy the 'Cat as much as I do.
