Thread Name: Lyr Req: Seeds of Children (Si Kahn)
Subject: 'Evening's coming early...'
It starts like this. Anybody know the rest of it?
Who wrote/recorded it?

"Evening's coming early. The fire in the kitchen's burnin' low.
All across the mountain, dogs are makin' footprints in the snow.
They go in circles through the pine trees like a lonesome traveler lookin' for a town.
Bread is rising in the oven. Stand beside me. Watch December coming down.

And the northeast wind is drivin' the falling snow along the frozen ground,
And, staring out the window, I think of how our drifting lives have found
A place to plant the seeds of children and to store up love to warm us growing old.”

Can't remember the rest. (Yeah, yeah.... ;-)
