Well that time has come upon us again...that time when we honour one of the most hardworking underpaid professions in the world...Mother's Day...

this is for my gramma who is one of the most specail people I have ever met...she has helped me through years of anger and pain...only to feel pain with each lash of my tongue...yet she stayed..she never gave up...

for all of you mothers....i dedicate it to you.

You Stayed(for my dear Gramma)

You held me in your arms...comforting the wounds
that scarred my body and soul
You reached out to me, holding in your aged hands
pieces of your young beating heart
a scarlet aura of love surrounding your smile...
when the words escaping from my angry lips
flogged the heart striving to beat it down
to tear to slivers of pain...
But you stayed...you stayed to embrace me
with golden happiness to ease the poison
That oozed through the crevices of my soul
I pushed you away..strove to drive you away in tears
but you stayed...you stayed to watch over me...to leech the venom
from the blood pumping through my heart...
You stayed to give me your love
when I gazed into the mirror
and saw the face of death staring back at me
Sad empty eyes darkened with fatigue
you stayed...and there you are
sunlight glowing in your whitened hair
Wrinkles lining across your face
placed there by years of curving your lips upwards..
towards your gentle eyes...as laughter echoes from your lips...
there you are once again...reaching out your hands
Holding a beating heart...but nothing assails it...
Instead i hold out my arms holding my aged heart...
To beat in time with your youthful spirit
