The thread about "illegal aliens" made me think about how everytime I read the word alien in english I just can't help picturing Science Fiction creatures-I even wrote a song about that.I have all these sad/funny/weird songs about trad topics such as love songs,trade union songs,emigrant songs etc...coupled with alien,spaceships,nuclear pollution stuff.Anyway here's the song about the Alien.The title is inspired by the famous novel by Philip K. Dick which I haven't actually read.:)

Does an alien dream of a freeing death?

When I was young and green as you dreamt I'd be/I went down from my planet the world just for to see/my ship she sailed on sky above/all the systems I have roamed/oh me now back at home I wish I'd be/buzz off ye alien go away from there/are you scared by this thing my dear/all the bug eyes that I have/all for crying they were made/and I'll never ever come back home I fear/I have wandered in the dark planes and moors/and my kinship I never shall see more/crying green tears all along in this strife/crying home and death all my life/and this means I'll cry forever/'cos tomorrow is just like never/when you carry all the time upon your back/I am green and nasty as you hope I'd be/I am an alien and I always will be/my ten eyes are moist with tears/and your child run away in fear/can I eat some of your petrol,please kind sir?
