the song isn't in the Data base, though it is available at many other sites, BUT, the 'parody' version that Martin Bogan And Armstrong sing is not available anywhere that I have found. Other String Band, and Old Time folks have sung it, I'm sure. MB&A take some liberties with what I assume was a fairly well known parody, as well as mumble a line I have yet to be able to decipher. Any help would be appreciated, (mando tab for Carl Martin's part would be nice to!)

Also, there is a lesbian/gay website that claims that this song was written by a gay member of the fraternity for another guy, but he changed the gender because of being in the closet! Seems a bit urban legendish to me.

Martin Bogan and Armstrong, do a nice instrumental intro, than the chorus, with some fun changes, conscious or un, like the obvious Bing Crosby conflation -
'the blue of her eyes MEETS the gold of her hair!'

the parody verse is filled with asides and encouragements from the other members but goes mostly like this

The girl of my dreams, she bobbed her hair, and died it a fiery red.
She drinks and she smokes and she tells funny jokes, she's simple, not a thought in her head.
