I'm reminded of some sage advice I was given more years ago than I care to recall.

Sincerity is ultimately the key to succeeding. You've got to be sincere about whatever you do ... and if you can't be sincere, then fake it.

Seems to work for most folks - politicians to name but two (faced, that is).
