In 1971, I took a job with a placement agency and was asked to create a name for myself using my own first name and a four letter last name beginning with the first letter of my actual last name. Desperate for work, I offered Mary Sims rather than Mary Shit.
Thirty years later, I am once again confronted with that hated name but haven't a clue. What is or are SIMS?
