I've done a fair amount of TV performances. I generally do the same thing that I do when I am onstage anywhere. That is, often I am looking at my hands or instrument, smiling at my playing partners, and occasionally looking into the camera, just as if I were making eye contact with an audience member. But for the most part I just ignore the camera and enjoy the act of making music.
