My passion for golf is greater than my passion fof music. My story is similar to 'Spaw's, my father was a fine amateur player who couldn't give up the security of a good job to try his luck as a pro. He shared his love of the game with me and recounted several Snead stories. To this day I will go out of my way to watch video of Snead swinging a club. It was absolutely one of the most beautiful sights I've seen. His book is still one of the finest instructional pieces I've ever read. I have heard hundreds of Snead stories. He played his Dumb Hillbilly role to perfection, and probably won more money in side games than he did in official winnings. He was one of a kind and will be dearly missed.
