What happened was that I noticed a slight tear along a seam of the tenor, and being a stained glass artisan, I thought I could fix it. But as soon as I applied enough heat to the joint, it began to separate a lot more. The guitar had to bear the discolored scar I'd given it, and I've had to bear the scar of having uglified a museum piece that had survived so well until I'd got my hands on it...
