The interesting thing about Rancho Santa Fe is that you wouldn't guess it upon just driving through. The homes are mostly set back and the vegetation along the winding road is dense. Once in awhile you glimpse part of a home, but from the road it isn't as ostentatious as you might expect.As for the tragedy of Heaven's Gate, that could probably have happened in the South Bronx. Wealth does not have a corner in stupidity.
