Bruce "Utah" Phillips has a terrific radio program called Loafer's Glory. For every record he plays, he seems to have a great story to explain it. Trouble is, it's broadcast here on Sunday mornings, and I'm usually in church (would he see some irony in that?). I believe it's syndicated and broadcast on non-NPR public stations here and there. I think it originates from KPFA in Berkeley, California. Most likely, there's a connection with the radio station that broadcasts it in his home town, KVMR of Nevada City, California. Is there somebody who knows Bruce or who has a connection at KPFA who might be able to make arrangements? If nobody volunteers, I wouldn't mind trying - but I think a friend might have a better chance.
I understand there's a guy in Toronto who has a good folk radio program, and I'm wondering if he might step forward.....(grin)
