Yes to banner ads but very rarely - it needs to be something that is of interest to me at the time and that probably eliminates 99.9% of all ads I see. I can't pretend I am very fond of them but provided a site is not littered with them, I can accept them as a means of a site getting some funding or paying for the service.

Popup ads, they really do drive me mad and I try to kill them before they manage to download thier contents. I really don't know what I'd do if I let one download and found it was advertising a good price on instrument strings in the UK (highly unlikely of course) but I suspect I would visit the site rather than risk cutting off my nose to spite my face.

As for the Google ads on the right hand side of the page, I have followed up on them on 2 or 3 occasions but I think only when I have been searching for a product or service. I found the ISP I use for the Annexe as a result of one of these ads.
