Ah yes... men are supposed to be able to open a bonnet, tweak a cable and poke the battery and everything miraculously starts purring like a kitten. When his car got a puncture and I said we'd change the wheel, he didn't even know the jack was under the bonnet.......

Same with computers, they should be able to click a button, tweak a cable, type 4 lines of gibberish on a black screen and hey presto, Windows 2000!

I prefer percussive maintenance myself....
