Since this has received a couple of positive reviews, I thought I'd put it in its own thread, for posterity. It was written for the recent demise of Shorty, the Mudcat server. Thanks!

I thought life was only true in the 3D world

Then Shorty died

I thought mud was more or less a river thing
Had no idea it was right there on the screen
Then Shorty came alive
Everyone's back, again
When I needed sunshine I got Mud(cat!)

Tunes were being written all the time


Then Shorty lived!
