Double dry and warm, tho it has backed off from the 112F days of last week (that's about 40C..and thanks, Liz, for reminding me of that conversion trick). Despite trying to keep up with the watering I had 2 pines lose a lot of needles in that heat, and I knew just how they felt. This is a esert climate, basically, here in Paso Robles (the other finest wine country in the US), so 50-60 degree spread typical between night and day. Just looking at the pictures of the Colorado fires makes me worry about fire season here...hot, dry and windy..bad combination.
