Just a small point. There was a TV programme here in the UK a litle while back, about the effect of violent computer games had (or not had) on children.There was a child, about 12 years old, he was asked to describe and say what he thought about a game he had just been playing. He replied that, "you had run about shooting people and blowing things up, it was great, just like in real life".
Was he wrong? Does not art imitate life?
Could it be that by trying to shield our children, from a world that they see very clearly and in some ways can see clearer than us, just makes the problem worse?
For it is not they, that have to live in that world too?
Maybe they don't like it much either?
Maybe if we try to LISTEN to them more, we may understand a little better?
