All this talk of furniture polish has made me wonder about wood conditioners instead of polishes, like Howard's Orange Oil or Wax & Feed. It does wonders for wood furniture if you live in a really dry climate -- I'm wondering if it would help the tone in a dried out instrument. Unlike polishes, there's nothing abrasive in them to wear off the finish, but it IS oil...
