The most likely reason your mudcat clickies don't work in an email is that most clickies on mudcat are "local" links.

The full address for this page now is:

If the whole thing is used as the "href=" you could paste it elsewhere.

Most posts are "local linked" using only:

/thread.cfm?threadid=39670&messages=42

so they only work from "inside" mudcat forum.
