OK...so, just this morning, what was on the front page of the Washington Post as *the* headlining story?

"USA beats Mexico".

To include *multiple* stories, one with pictures of crowds of Mexicans, all with expressions of the deepest sorrow, many weeping unconsolably. When I first looked at the pic, I thought it must surely be a picture of something tragic that had happened in the Middle East.

People are dying of starvation. They're being sold into slavery. They're killing each other the world over. So, what is front page news? What are people crying about?

Who kicked a ball into the net more often.

The last time I cried over losing a game, the 4th grade teacher told me I should act my age.

So, folks, please...explain this to me so it makes sense? What am I not getting here?
