I know you can't fit in everything but if you want to cross the pennines from Bills place Manchester is only about 40-50 miles away. Plenty of people, including me, could pick you up from Selby or Cleckhuddersfaxwicke or some other such Godforsaken Yorkshire place and then accomodate you in sunny Manchester...

I'm not sure if the commonwealth games are still on then but if they are you could see what you Yanks missed by deciding to sever links with the old country;-)
