Well, since I asked, I found most of the email in question hiding in my inbox without a header. Here it is:

The Jennys are touring this summer. We have 10 folk festivals booked across Canada (including the Winnipeg Folk Festival, 'Grrl' Folk in Toronto, and the Ottawa Folk Festival) and are itching to get out on the road! Please check us out on the net: www.thewailinjennys.com

My other project is called Moody Penner and Swain, a collaboration with Jeremy Penner (fiddle player) and Oliver Swain (Bass player) from Scruj MacDuhk. In January of this year the three of us decided that we missed playing together and decided to form our own band. It's a sound that reaches into Celtic, Appalachian, and Cajun traditions, all the while incorporating the original songs and compositions of the three of us. Anyone who has seen Scruj MacDuhk knows that these two guys are brilliant performers. It's a privilege (and a whole lot of fun) to be working with them again.

Moody Penner and Swain plan to record and start touring next year - for more information and to hear some of our music, please go to www.livetourartists.com

As for me, I have just finished recording my own solo CD: A 5 song EP called 'Blue Muse'. I'm still in the process of mixing it but I'm really excited about how it sounds so far. I will be selling it this summer and you will also be able to order it via the internet. I don't have my own website yet, so until I do you can email me at ruthmoody@mts.net and I will send you a copy. It will be $14.00 CAD/$11.00 US, all shipping costs and taxes included. I will accept cheques or money orders in my name.

I am starting to book solo shows for myself, and intend to record a full length CD next year with more new songs, so I will do my best to keep you informed about what I'm up to.

A couple of other things to note: Leonard Podolak has formed a new band called The Duhks, and you will soon be able to find out more about them at www.duhks.com Christian Dugas is drumming his heart out with all sorts of projects around Winnipeg, and his main focus is a band called Rudimental. Check them out at www.paquinentertainment.com.

That's about it for now. Thanks for reading this, and I hope to see you sometime in the next few months.

Happy summer!

Ruth Moody
