We really enjoyed the festival, though the rumour mill was in full spate. Is it true the "officail" festival organisers phoned the local radio stations to say that rumours of an alternative festival were untrue?I also heard that some of the landlords were now going to object to BERFFs plans for a full-time worker, as there seemed to be no need if such a successful festival could be organised by volunteers.
The only benefit I can see of the official festival is the smoke free venues - we came out of the Moulder's Arms (our nearest pub) smelling like old ash trays.
Was there something wrong with the sound system at the Westwood? Aiken's Drum seemed to have very raucous sounding instruments and poor vocals.
We quite enjoyed the guided tour on Sunday morning, full marks to the Sun for organising that.
