Peter- the Ontario route from Buffalo to Lansing saves at least an hour over the Ohio route and is much more scenic. I took the less traveled Lewiston-Queenston bridge crossing in Niagra City, cruised up the QEW to Hamilton, took 403 through Burlington and then west to 401, continued on 401 to just past London where I took 402 to Sarnia/Port Huron, and then I-69 to Lansing and Elderly's where...$$$$$$$ but ;-)))))

There are some tricky exits and it's good to have an alert navigator, and once you've stopped at Elderly's you'll have a new set of CD's (Joel Mabus and Kitty Donohoe) to keep you awake for the rest of the trek.
