Question:-- Outlook Express came pre-loaded on my computer (hopped aboard automatically when my vendor load Windows 98), it worked fine for me, and I couldn't see any reason not to go ahead and use it. I've used it now for several years and I've never had a problem with it. Granted, the nastynerds who write and distribute viruses seem to target Microsoft products in particular, but to stop using it for that reason means the nastynerds win, so to hell with them. Also, NAV has shot down every virus so far.

"Don't use Outlook Express" seems like a knee-jerk reaction to me. I can't see what so many people have against it other than a general dislike for Bill Gates. Can someone explain this to me?
