GUEST pens: "While Israel has signed most of international human rights treaties, it continues to violate or disregard provisions of these covenants. As a result of these violations, the Palestinian minority has legitimate reason to request that UN actors and other State Parties to these conventions take action to guarantee Israel's compliance, namely to repeatedly hold Israel accountable for violations of the rights of Palestinian citizens of the State".I add: When the UN quits appointing countries such as the Sudan, (a country with one of the worst human rights track records in the world today) to their "Human Rights Commission", then, perhaps, what the UN has to say might matter. Until then, they are no less the hypocrits you say Israel is. Take a look at *womens* rights in the majority of Islamic theocracies. Take a look at the rights of *anyone* who is not a practicing Muslim in the Sudan. Slavery. Not merely a lack of the same rights. They are being *sold* as property.
It's this huge global pot and kettle thing.
