Am I imagining things or did Brazil not win all three games in their qualifying group - and by convincing scores as well.

Brazil won the first game in their group against Turkey with all their good players by 2:1 and only with a penalty shortly before the end of the game which everybody agreed should not have been granted (the foul was clearly outside of the penalty area). Nobody then did call that a convincing score.
