I have played back-up for many fiddle players who use "Maiden's Prayer" as a show piece or a contest piece. Bob Wills may have performed/recorded it, but I believe that the song pre-dates Wills by at least a couple of generations. I have heard this song most often as an instrumental, but I believe Mac Wiseman sang it in a jam session I took part in many years ago. I'll see if maybe I have the words somewhere.
