A View from Jazz/World...
Much quieter than previous fests....120 k only....100 k down (est) on 2 years ago...
Bloody big fence complete with machine gun nests...
Avalon still in full effect.....
Missed out on all the bands on Pyramid and Other stages....
Highlights, for me, on Jazz were, "Badmarsh & Shri" and "Shibisashirazu".... Get off my roof !!!
Honourable mentions to "Lamb" and "Beverley Knight"
We even had a Jazz band ...."Koop" on Sunday PM..
In all, I think that the organisers did what they had to do to save the fest for the future, and it ended up a bit safe...fair enough, it;s their gig after all..
It still remained a fascinating gig to go to. Heres to next year..Maybe the Acoustic Stage will have some acoustic artists on it then...!!
