I have been a great fan of the Rounders through all of their incarnations, but I must say that Timbuk3 do very little for me at all. As a result of your thread, I just listened again to the only album I have of theirs - 'Greetings From' - to see if perhaps I had missed something. Fine musos, clever word play and some nice harmonies, but I can't really connect with them. Now, the early BoDeans stuff is another kettle of fish. I loved their first couple of albums, but lost interest after that. While typing this, I am listening to 'Love & Hope & Sex & Dreams'. What a gem of an album, with lovely songs like 'Runaway', 'Still the Night', 'Rickshaw Riding' etc. The bloke with the slightly weird voice is immensely appealing. Thanks for reminding me of them - I haven't played this CD for years. Sorry I can't share your enthusiasm for Timbuck3. De gustibus ...
