Thread Name: Help: Truro, Cornwall - any pub singing?
Subject: RE: Help: Truro, Cornwall - any pub singing?
When Linda and I were down that way the other year, we sang in a pub in the middle of Truro one afternoon - I've always been one for just popping into a pub and singing. The landlord liked it and we got a booking for an evening later in the week. I can't remember the name of the pub, but it was in the road that went from one end of the market down towards the river (High Cross St) and had doors on two different roads. I can also remember a copy of "The sailor's Prayer" (Oh Lord above, send down a dove) which was acredited to someone other than Tom Lewis.

We went to the Cadgwith session, we quite enjoyed it - although we were a bit disappointed that no-one sang the anthem - we thought it would be rude for us two "emmetts" to sing it (mind you I learnt it from Mervyn Vincent).
