Subject: RE: Help: Austin City Limits Fans?
I am not the producer, head honcho or whoever he/she is at Austin City Limits, but if I were, I would be damn sure that VHS or DVD copies of all shows were available for purchase on their website! (They aren't). With current technology, copies could be made on an as-ordered basis with no inventory or warehousing involved.

Apparently, they only produce VHS/DVD of their most popular shows. DancingMom mentions the Stevie Ray show, which seems to be out-of-print. The only titles I could find for sale at B&N were a "Greatest Hits" type thing and a Roy Orbison show. I guess you have to be dead to get your very own tape.

I also can no longer get Austin City Limits (nor anything else, for that matter) on TV since moving to the boonies. (Too far away for regular reception & damned if I'll own a satellite dish.) When we lived in town, Austin City Limits was the only thing the "Record" button on the VCR ever got used for.

Now....personally, I would love to have a VHS of the String Cheese Incident show from November, 2001. If anyone happens to have a copy, please PM me.
