Well, the sun came up as I was cooking lunch for the Vermont chapter of the American Friends Service Committee's annual meeting. There were supposed to be one hundred people there, but since today was the nicest day in about 8 months, the attendance was somewhat low and there was quite a lot of Croation Sour soup, Hungariann Bean soup and Baklava left over. Got home at about 4, and rundled off to properly celebrate May 1 by visiting the Socialist Labor Hall in Barre (bit socialist and anarchist hub at the turn of the century) and then on to a meeting at the local Teamsters hall where we got to sing union, mining and other political songs with Helen Schnayer and other local heroes. Workers of the world Unite! Oh, and my apricot trees are starting to bloom, fools that they are!!
