"Carnaptious" is summat like th' Amurrican derivative, "cantank..." er, "cantanker..." um, "cantanquerous..." BLAST! I canNAE spell in Amurrican!!! Onyway, it means aboot what ye'd expect it tae mean: gruff an' muckle feshin' tae drey...er, hard tae endure. "Slee" means aboot th' same as "pawky"...(Stop bein' sae obscure, lass!!!) er, summat claise tae th' Amurrican waird "sly", but wi' mair connotations.
