I suffer from claustrophobia and have had 6 MRI scans I must admit they are not pleasent and it sounds as if you are in a washing machine on spin cycle but it's better than having exploritory surgery. The open MRI's are much better and you can see more.....the walls don't seem to be that close. I find trying to relax before I go in ( I know its hard) and I sing a happy song in my mind and that just about gets me through it.
