Actually, Little Hawk's suggestion has a lot of merit.

Since it is difficult to get cat smell out of anuthing, borrow the skunk, since as most folks know, tomato juice works wonder with skunk smell.

Once the skunk smell is gone, you will probably find that the cat smell is gone as well.
