I drove two silver/gray Subaru wagons, in succession, in Wyoming and never had any problems. I did have the lights on because they would automatically go off when I turned off the key, so that may have helped.

I've heard insurance rates are higher for red cars, but my mom and sister both drove red cars and I didn't consider them to be reckless at all.
