M. Ted, I already had planned to ask them about that. It depends on their goals. That UP Trek is one of the most beautiful treks (provided you go the right route) of any I have seen in all my travels on 3 continents. Go the wrong way and it is boooorrrrrrrinnnngg. And it is all predicated on time. If time is the key, then Chicago up to Wisconsin is still the faster route, provided you travel at the right time of day.

But I think The Travelling Chuckberries have pretty well figured out their times and know exactly what the plan is. But there is one variable................Elderly Instruments. We are meeting there and they may not have enough gas money by the time they leave the joint...........LOL
