Joe Walsh used to take a chainsaw on the road with him for the express purpose of redecorating hotel rooms...Don Henley's seduction technique was known as "Love 'em and Lear 'em" from his habit of sending his private jet to pick up his girlfriends...the whole band took a mid-tour break to fly down to the Bahamas just to stage a two-day card game...their idea of family values was a mother-and-daughter groupie scenario... and as for their manager (Irv Azoff) who encouraged and covered up all this excess, to quote Henley "He may be Satan, but he's OUR Satan".
All this AND three-part harmonies? No contest.
