Some info to pass along. If they are travelling across the Yoop to Duluth, the shortest path across Minnesota is from Duluth to Brainerd (The one in the "Fargo" movie) and then to the real Fargo to catch the interstate. Teddy Roosevelt National Park at Medora is worth a look and there is a nice stop right on the I-road. Fargo to Bozeman is typically 13-14 hours with minimal stops.
