That would be The Greatest Song I've Ever Heard, I think. It was written by Dick Holler and recorded by Cher, on the album Half-Breed (1973): The Greatest Song I Ever Heard.

It also appeared on Bittersweet White Light in the same year. It may have been recorded by others, of course, but the Cher references are the only ones I've found.
