Interesting guess, Gargoyle, but Joe has done no government work for over a year, and his government computer never had Internet access. In fact, my government job didn't even provide me an office after 1994 - I worked out of my home. Except when I'm traveling and using library computers or my dad's WEBTV, I use Microsoft Network.
I moved to the mountains in January, and went from a 56k connection to 28.8. Actually, Mudcat doesn't seem any slower this way. Generally, the speed seems to be reasonable - but there are slowdowns at times.
