Subject: RE: WOODCHUCK ALERT: I-90 & I-94 July & Aug
We got to my daughter's at 8:30 last night (10:30 by our metabolisms).

Got as far as Macinac City after seeing Mick (and the beautiful Huss & Dalton 00 slothead), but decided not to do the bridge at night as it was raining and high winds.

On Thursday, All the way across the Yoop, all of Wisconsin on US 8, and Minnesota on M 95 to St. Cloud, and picked up I-94 & got as far as Fergus Falls. About 650 miles, mostly on two-lanes.

Yesterday, the last 50 miles of Minnesota, 350 miles of N. Dakota, and 400 miles of Montana. Not nearly as bad as it sounds when you have a nearly empty, mostly dead straight, interstate; a western-style speed limit, cruise control, and a bunch of good music.

Today we shall recover, get our eyes back to focusing closer than 5 miles away (I have to, because I'll be expected to restring my daughter's guitars. 31 year old physicians can still yell "DA-DEE..."), and await Ian's arrival from Portland.

Festival gig on Sunday. One 1-hour set. Seems kind of silly, but it's more fun than rationality.

I hope you are all practicing sobriety and morality. Let me know if anyone gets it right.

Peter.
