This is a subject worthy of discussion. As a result of last weeks Oakley barefoot-in-shorts scandal at South Ferriby, Mr. Watson and I decided to come out in sympathy on Saturday night at Durty Nellies. We turned up looking like a pair of beach bums just for him. Mr. Watson was a little unsure...'is there any chance we will end up looking a pair of twats, tonight, Pete?' to which my reply was...'absolutely'.

However, the full hilarity of the evening was only realised when we arrived at said venue, to see brother Oakley waiting for us in the car park. Fully suited. I mean, the man looked absolutely immaculate. Dark grey suit (buttoned up), crisp white shirt, tie, and highly polished black shoes. Like he was about to enter a high-powered business meeting. We nearly died laughing.

Needless to say, Ossonflags did not look amused when we all walked in...two beach bums and a solicitor...to play in front of a packed saturday audience..!!! Nobody quite knew what to make of us. Oakleys dedication to the cause was truly awesome..he played all night, refusing to give in, and still had his buttons done up at 11.30!!! This despite high temperature and almost unbearable humidity. Not only this, but Oakley played blindingly well all night. He should wear a suit all night.
